Gov. Palin is often ridiculed for claiming Alaska's proximity to Russia as her main foreign policy credential, but I believe that many deride that fact without consider its full implications. I mean as governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin can sympathize with Putin in a way that almost no other American politician can. Because, she too is a petro-dictator.
